Team FXPrimus Aylezo will start the race from third and seventh for the two final races of the 2014 Blancpain Lamborghini Super Trofeo Asia Series tomorrow.

Afiq Yazid set out for the first qualifying session as the track temperatures went down and the cooler weather helped to improve the overall time for the team. “The track feels better compared to the earlier practice sessions and the car felt better too. We have found some improvements but will need a little bit more adjustments in preparations for the race tomorrow. Overall I’m quite happy we are in P3 and I haven’t driven on this circuit for about ten months now, so I am a bit rusty”

“We did improve our times from this morning but the rest of the field also improved. It’s a bit tougher this time compared to the past few rounds because there are quite a number of really good drivers in the field for the finals. So we can’t relax just yet, we have to put our heads down and work hard at every session.

“P3 is a good starting position as it is the inside line, so we will see how it goes tomorrow” ended Afiq.

Zen Low meanwhile went out during the second stint and was able to set the seventh fastest of the Asian drivers. “The car has improved tremendously compared to our practice sessions earlier today. During qualifying the car is a lot better and it is more predictable but P7 is the best I can do. I gave everything that I got and I actually went quicker through turns six, seven and eight. So at the end of the day, I am quite happy even though its in P7 because there is a lot of fast drivers this weekend.

“The track conditions is cooler during the qualifying session but not in cockpit, the conditions is just as hot as during the midday session”

“Afiq qualified P3 so overall we are quite happy and lets hope we do a good job for the race tomorrow. My thank you goes out to the team for doing a great job so far and to the sponsors who are here to support us” ended Zen as he cooled down in the air conditioned room.

The duo are happy with the results but are looking at the data to find ways to improve the car further before the morning race session tomorrow. The drivers are confident of a good race and are aiming for a podium.

Round 11 of the Blancpain Lamborghini Super Trofeo Asia Series is scheduled to be held on Friday, 21 November at 9.30am with round 12 scheduled at 2.30pm.
