Hometown Hero Zen Low back at Sepang for Lamborghini Super Trofeo

Malaysian star driver Zen Low becomes hometown hero this weekend as he focuses on winning round 4 of the Lamborghini Super Trofeo Asia at the Sepang International Circuit.

TeamOver the years Zen has built one of the most successful race teams in Malaysia, and in the process has become one of the most well-loved drivers in the industry with his reputation of being an honest and fair businessman as well as a great driver.

Aylezo Ecotint Racing has scored four out of six podiums this year, and the last round of the Lamborghini Super Trofeo Asia was the first time the team didn’t finish on the final three steps. So Zen and team mate Max Wiser will be hungry to go one better and win the team’s home race.

Considering it’s the team’s home race, preparations are no different to other races, with the team extra focused and determined to do well as Zen explains: “This is just like any other race accept with a bit more pressure to do well I guess, but that’s a good thing. I just hate to disappoint them with a bad race result especially when you do your best and things don’t go your way.”

Aylezo Racing is one of few teams with a huge fan base in Asia and this weekend will see over 200 supporters coming to the track to give their encouragement and get close to the powerful Lamborghini Haracán. The fans will be looked after in the team room with catered F&B, and a video crew will be on hand to film the exciting day for everyone.

There is no advantage to me because the track was recently re-surfaced and re-configured. I will still have to learn the track all over again.”

And with the mechanics and engineers working hard to get the Lamborghini just right, can Zen and Max bring home the beast on top step of the podium? “Other than learning the new track, my aim is to stay away from trouble and bring the car home hopefully on the podium.”

Round four of the Lamborghini Blancpain super Trofeo Asia will be on August 13-14 at the Sepang International Circuit. Grandstand entry is free. Qualifying starts at 15:45 on Saturday, with Race 1 at 09:45 and Race 2 at 14:20 on Sunday.
