OD Racing’s Technical Partner, Aylezo Competizione, completed a two day test at Sepang International Circuit this week in preparation for the upcoming 2015 GT Asia Series Season Opener. The team, with drivers Zen Low and Fairuz Fauzy, were familiarising themselves with the Lamborghini Gallardo FLII GT3 prior to the first race scheduled for 15-17 May at the Korea International Circuit in Yeongnam, South Korea.
Over the two day test, the team clocked over 500km in distance where both Zen and Fairuz were happy with the car’s performance. The test came just two days after the team announced that Fairuz will be taking on the Series alongside Zen this season.
The test also marked the first time Zen was back in a race seat after sustaining a fractured ankle in February. Zen has been hard at work, going through physiotherapy and working with a trainer to get himself back in racing form.
OD Racing is currently making preparations for the car to be shipped to its first destination for the GT Asia Series.
GT Asia Series will visit six countries competing at seven Asian circuits beginning with Korea International Circuit this 15-17 May before heading to two Japanese races, in Okayama on 26-28 June and Fuji on 17-19 July. The Series will return to Sepang for its first ever three hour endurance race on 14-16 August. The season will continue with the penultimate race at Shanghai International Circuit on 25-27 Sept before the season ender at Buriram Chang International Circuit on 23-25 October. There will also be a non-Championship round scheduled for 20-22 November at the legendary Guia Street Circuit in Macau.
